Why promise not to touch…

Why promise not to touch protected lands and then hope 4yrs later no one will remember and go back on it? This plan is absolutely devastating to our environment and the Greenbelt which is to be protected lands. This government is already doing horrendous acts against the environment in regards to development in the Bradford bypass and Highway 413, where will it stop? What's to say that more greenbelt protected land won't be taken again and again after this? What is our government trying to do to reduce costs now for those homes built. I am so deflated and lost all faith in politicians and our leaders to do anything morally or ethically right. This world will burn because of Ford, his government and the inactions of our leaders.
