!! Please don’t develop the Greenbelt !!
It plays a vital role in climate resiliency, the local economy, drinking water quality, restricting urban sprawl, reducing flood risk, and providing green spaces for communities to explore.
Further expanding the Greenbelt will not offset the 7, 400 acre wound caused by developing it and it is unfair to make the people of Toronto choose between our affordable housing and climate crisis.
It would overall be detrimental to develop the Greenbelt, despite promise of expansion (better yet, expand it and don’t develop!).
