This proposal is a terrible idea. Not only would it destroy the rapidly dwindling natural spaces in Canada but it wouldn't provide the necessary improvements to housing affordability and the housing crisis either. We do not need more sprawling suburban areas with mcmansions the people living through a housing crisis couldn't afford. With the increase in work from home jobs there are plenty of empty office buildings in large cities for sale that could be used for high density affordable housing.
