I, as an indigenous person of Ontario, speak for the water, the birds, the land animals and water creatures. Handing over parts of this sacred tract of land is fundamentally flawed and disheartening. Developers need to repurpose existing land and increase density, not destroy what precious green space remains. Doug Ford stated on record he would not touch this land. The provincial government lacks a mandate for this action and in no way at all should this heartless proposal move forward. The province belongs to the people, not rich developers.
