I do NOT support the proposal to remove or redesignate 15 areas of land totaling approximately 7,400 acres from the edge of the Greenbelt Area that are serviced or adjacent to services and to be used to build housing.
This proposal is the exact opposite of what was promised by Doug Ford. He said the green belt would not be built on. Adding land in other areas is not the solution nor is it in the spirit of the stipulation that the land not be reduced.
This is very disappointing and extremely concerning. I worry about the natural habitat and wildlife. I also worry about the possibility of homes being built on an area that could flood.
Leave the Greenbelt alone.
