We need to increase the supply of affordable and accessible housing, building in areas prone to flooding will not be a solution to the housing crisis nor gridlock. If Doug Ford cared about the cost of living, he would not have allowed a record breaking rate in annual rent increase.

There is no possible justification to ruin the local environment, water supply, and animal habitats. Building more roads does not stop traffic, it puts more cars on the road.

The 407 is already under utilized and runs through Vaughan and Brampton. Ford forgave 407’s penalties that should have been paid as a result of the under utilization of the highway during Covid-19.

Use this money to invest in public transportation in the GTA and into providing AFFORDABLE housing to Ontarians. We don’t need a new highway when the rest of the province and government services are a dumpster fire.
