Opening up the Greenbelt is NOT the solution to this problem.

This is just a quick fix to an issue that's much bigger. The government's ow Housing Affordability Task Force delivered a report stating that: “A shortage of land isn’t the cause of the problem,”.. “Land is available, both inside the existing built-up areas and on undeveloped land outside greenbelts.”

Ontario is NOT using its land efficiently. The government needs to continue to consult with it's urban planners and develop up and increase urban densification. I don't believe the government is listening or applying the recommendations from these type of reports.

Municipalities continue to zone their areas where there's only single family homes allowed, no structures that build up or house more families within a square kilometer; this is the issue. The government needs to be willing to tackle this difficult issue.
