In a day and age where the climate crisis worsens, creating developments on the Greenbelt would be a huge mistake for the Conservative Party of Ontario. It will show that the leaders of the Conservative party actively choose to ignore the advice from world's leading scientists and evidence that has been publically made stating the conservation of land, such as the Greenbelt, is essential in preventing the climate crisis from progressing even more quickly.

As a leader of the people of Ontario, the Ford government should at least attempt to protect the futures of the aforementioned people—which means leaving the Greenbelt as it is. Redirecting their attention and funding to other areas, such as the collapsing health care system, is what is needed for the people of Ontario to regain their trust in the failing Conservative Party of Ontario.
