I do not support the proposed idea to start developing housing in the greenbelt. It is protected environmental land for a reason. This government ran on the promise that it would not develop in the greenbelt. There are currently unused buildings in Toronto that can be repurposed into housing which would be a better use of resources. I am concerned that it starts now with 7400 acres then slowly becomes the whole greenbelt. I do not support this governments decision to use environmental protected land for housing.
