I am completely opposed to this proposal. The greenbelt needs to continue to be protected and turning it into residential development land will not be the solution to the housing crisis unless there are also big changes to zoning by-laws that allow for high-density housing to be built. Single-family housing won't provide affordable homes to new home buyers and the locations of the new housing isn't anywhere near the areas where people are looking for jobs and home to live in.
