I am completely against this proposal. The green belt is meant to be protected green space, and if you begin cutting it back now, where will it stop?
Our green spaces are becoming fewer and fewer, yet they are crucial in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. We destroy our planet by removing natural habitat, and this is why there are these protected spaces.

I also don't believe this will solve the housing crisis. Spending big bucks to developers to build cheap homes doesn't help the fact that people can't afford these home in this economy.
The housing crisis is important, but there are other ways in dealing with it that doesn't further decline the biodiversity of our habitats.
The ecological impacts of removing natural habitat is tremendous, but will not be seen for any of Doug ford's generation. It will be on the future leaders to clean up a mess that will be hard to come back from.

Don't cut into the green space. It is protected for a reason. Please leave it this way for the health of our future generations and the Earth we so gratefully get to call home.
