As a parent of a young child…

As a parent of a young child it horrifies me that the Ontario government is planning to destroy the greenbelt to build housing.

The affects on the environment of this plan are terrible. We're at a tipping point for climate change so why continue on this path by building on the greenbelt?

The housing crisis will not be solved by building single family homes on this land. We need high density housing. Perhaps it's time to rezone some commercial buildings (ie empty office towers in downtown toronto) to meet growing demand.

I get that you only care about money but think of your children's and grandchildren's futures.
