I believe in personal responsibility. I want polluters to pay for their emissions--better yet, let's create an economy that is based on scientific evidence about the health-environment connection. That means a clean economy.
As government decision-makers, your basic job is to protect us from environmental contamination and to safeguard our environment for future generations. If you are unable to understand or act on this basic principle, then you should leave office.
A real climate change plan should reduce emissions, help people save energy and create clean, long-term jobs that provide stability to communities and families.
We are part of a global community. I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2030. And I want Ontario to end subsidies and handouts for fossil fuel companies and redirect this money to clean energy solutions.
It's time to clean up our act--literally!
Get on board, Premier Ford. Learn how to prioritize. A functioning natural environment is a basic human necessity. Without it, there is NO economy.
