This proposal is absurd. We need more housing, yes, but we are facing an international food supply crisis. The vast majority of our province cannot support industrial agriculture; selling off the best farmland we have available for a quick buck to develop unsustainable housing will go down as one of the worst decisions in the history of the province. We need denser housing built around transit and sustainability; there are plenty of examples to look for internationally. Stop sprawling our cities and look for better alternatives to destroying our local food supply and environment.
