The greenbelt is critically important to maintaining farmland and greenspace in southern Ontario. Doug Ford promised not to touch it during the election and has no mandate to break his promise. The land is jot needed for housing, more density of development is needed in cities and existing urban areas. Development on greenbelt lands must not proceed.
