Do not use protected green space.

Promote development to the East instead of West or North. With Oshawa to become second Mississauga, Belleville - second Oakville, Couburg - second Hamilton.

Steps to archive this:

• ⁠more and faster trains Oshawa - Toronto. Commute should be fast, convenient and inexpensive.
• ⁠Free 407 from East to Brampton. This will reduce morning traffic on 401 and speed up commute by car

I think these 2 measures alone will make Oshawa "closer" and more people and businesses will be moving that direction.

In the long run all area between Toronto and Couburg should be populated the same way as Toronto to Hamilton now.
