I am very nervous about…

I am very nervous about taking land out of the Green Belt...as it should be a wide belt surrounding much of the GTA for water resources, fresh air, and recreation. Toronto and nearby communities are getting denser in population so the need for green space will only grow... esp as our federal government plans to welcome more and more immigrants, and about half of them settle in Ontario. People will have to settle more outside the GTA...and many of the municipalities are not requesting green belt rezoning..
I've worked in the developing world, and the lack of foresight there to save greenbelts and park space is painfully obvious.
Adding land near Paris is a long ways west, and I question if we want a mega- city sprawling from Oshawa to Stoney Creek.
