Climate change is already and will continue to have major negative effects on society, our economy, and our environment (which sustains all of us). Cancelling this Act moves us in the wrong direction. It is important for Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. Please implement legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
