I have significant concern over the cumulative impact that recent and proposed changes will have on the management of stormwater and flooding within communities. Municipalities are being forced to obtain a consolidated stormwater approval, removing the ministry review of developments. We have no capacity, financial or technical, to evaluate new subdivisions. Now you are proposing to allow development in areas that naturally capture stormwater and to build within existing floodplains, while removing the ONLY REMAINING review of these activities by conservation authorities.

More housing is great, but the water has to go somewhere. I don't want to have to pay to fix the problems in the future, and no one wants to live under water.
