This proposal is not helpful. We need more housing density, not more urban sprawl. By reducing development costs the developers will make more money and savings will not be passed on to consumers. Lire davantage

I find this proposal deeply disturbing - when at a time climate change is at our doorstep I don't think scrapping conservation authorities should even be considered. I urge you to look at building more into density and less into sprawl. Leave our wetlands and green spaces alone. Lire davantage

Conservation authorities are important in making sure that our short term goals do not create long-term problems like ecological collapse. I believe that it's important to have conservation considerations when determining if land should be developed taking into. Lire davantage

This legislation is misguided and short-sighted at best. Plundering our non-renewable green spaces to enrich developers in the name of ‘faster housing’ is absurd. It isn’t a lack of land that is creating a bottleneck in the housing supply. Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned about the proposed regulation to the Conservation Authorities Act, R.S.O. 1990 . The legislation would repeal 36 specific regulations that allow conservation authorities to directly oversee the development process. Lire davantage

Gutting CAs only benefits one group and that's developers. If they intensify without taking stormwater/wastewater into account there is going to be a lot of flooding issues on the horizon for Ontario communities going forward. I don't support this proposal.

I'm a top income earner in Ontario. This has becoming increasingly meaningless as landed gentry resumes and turbo-charges their Gilded Age and adds as much fuel as possible to the impending economic collapse. Lire davantage

Please do not destroy anymore protected land and it's wildlife. There are better solutions and you can still make your money.

Paving wetlands and building houses will lead to flooded houses and lack of clean water for Ontario. Only beneficiaries here are the wealthy developers who are paying $$ to the gov't to lobby for these changes.

I would like to hear about the long term planning and analysis that has gone into changing Conversation Authorities from having a purview that includes monitoring/managing pollution and conservation itself. Lire davantage

Stripping the conservation authority is nothing short of an awful idea. So much of Ontario’s beautiful scenery has been paved over to erect poorly built, unsightly suburban developments that do very little for our housing crisis in comparison to reinvigorating already developed lands. I agree with what you are proposing as I am seeing an over reach from Halton Region and conservation Halton that is more about politics then protecting the environment. Lire davantage
