The Greenbelt was created to prevent further loss of farmland and natural heritage and restrict urban sprawl, by converting this land for development we will not address the housing crisis and can cause irreversible change. As a Markham resident I am not only worried that this will only create unaffordable housing "solutions" but also will lead to unneeded damage to our environmental conservation efforts.
