I am writing this just as the most knowledgeable scientists are concluding (at a meeting in Korea) that keeping global temperature rise to1.5C limit cannot be achieved as it would take reducing emissions by 40%!! in 10-15!! years; while at the same time the US and now Ontario commit to further increasing emissions (by opposing renewable energy among others).

The Ford government received NO mandate to dismantle policies aimed at the threat of climate change. Ignoring reality when making public policy creates threats to the society. Ontario government members who support anti-climate change actions will regret it but it will be too late; and who will help the people then suffering the most? When will this government start acting to protect Ontarians, now living and yet to be born; or is this not a consideration any more when making government policies?
