At no time should any current protected area be removed from protection for any reason. The area was set aside for positive environmental reasons and that has not changed. If anything the need for protection is even greater as climate change is causing challenges on our natural environment. The only part of this proposal should be the proposal to expand and add additional lands.
Our problem with housing will not be solved through additional urban sprawl but rather a higher density and a return to realistic homes that are meant to house people and not show wealth. Build small homes similar to those built post world war 2 so people can afford the dream again of home ownership.
