I am disgusted at the government's attack on the Greenbelt. While we do have a housing crisis it is not suburban sprawl on protected ecologically sensitive areas that we need. We need higher density, affordable housing near public transit. The government's current plan is housing that is unattainable for the majority of people who cannot afford a suburban lifestyle on stagnant wages.

It will lead to increased car traffic from commuters that this government will then propose more highways to solve. It will also require additional land grabs to build amenities to serve the new neighbourhoods.

This plan is reckless in the face of climate change and reminds voters that your government is more focused on giving business to your friends than in working to serve the people of Ontario.
