This is a short term solution that will not solve the housing solution - if it was a reasonable option, it would have been included in the agreed upon growth plans for the province.

We are told that the situation has changed and housing needs have changed - that is incorrect as provincial planning accounted for growth.

The science clearly demonstrates the downstream impacts of the changes, flooding, gridlock etc. making development in these areas unacceptable.

There is already a plan that was set out and agreed to i.e. increasing density, remediating lands - not paving over fertile land in sensitive eco-systems.
