This proposal is an example of the shortsightedness of the current policy makers. Protected lands are protected for a reason. We cannot continue to pave/build over our environment and expect to survive.
I get it: too many people, too little houses/infrastructure but maybe, just maybe, we address THAT problem. Maybe work to make other areas more attractive to settle in.
Don't destroy our ecosystem/environment to accommodate because we will all lose in the long run!!
