I oppose this proposal and feel strongly the greenbelt should remain protected. Swapping greenbelt protected land for other land fails to consider all of the factors that went into choosing the land that should be included in the original greenbelt. An assessment should be completed to ensure the land being taken from the greenbelt will not have significant impacts on species at risk, climate change, watershed management and agriculture.

We do not need more land to build houses and the government should instead focus on building up communities using existing developed land. This proposal is short-sighted and fails to continue long term effects on the environment and our communities.
