This is an environmental disaster and I am 100 percent not supportive of this proposal. The Greenbelt should not be parceled up or modified or changed at all. It is there to protect the environment and provide green space for the wellness of Ontarians. Shame on Ford for back tracking on a promise he made not to touch the GreenBelt.

I want to see what where the policy options on this "housing crisis". I want to see real data and stats before you plow ahead on this idea. What are the recommendations from experts and pros and cons of each? What are mitigation strategies for 10 years down the road when homes are flooded because you built them on a floodplain or removed essential floodplain protection areas?

I have been informed through actual scientific data that we can accommodate housing within the existing space the province has without opening up the GreenBelt. DONT DO IT!

This sounds like giving into the home builders/construction industry instead of making sound policy decisions, money over health and the environment....sounds familiar across the every decision this government has made to date, continuing to negatively affect Ontarians for the sake of big industry stakeholders who only care about profits. Industry and lobbyists are not experts in sound policy decisions and DO NOT SPEAK FOR THE WELLBEING OF ONTARIANS.
