Please do not cancel cap and trade and the programs it funds. Make a comprehensive environmental policy. We need to face the reality of climate change and play the long game (of saving the planet and keeping it healthy and livable) instead of the short game of politics and popularity contests.
Many other countries and jurisdictions in the world have strong environmental protection policies and their economies are doing just fine. It’s not an either/or proposition. Show that the Progressive in your party’s name actually stands for progress, not regression to the policies of the past that have not reduced GHG emissions and that are now leading us directly down the cliff.
