As a bruce trial user, a resident who lives adjacent to green belt land, an avid outdoors person, as well as mother who will have children looking to purchase their first home in the next ten years, I strongly oppose this act. Do NOT go back on the green belt act- it was put in place to protect these lands for a reason and any attempt to remove that designation is a huge mistake. Affordable homes can and need to be built in Ontario, but higher density affordable homes should be built in locations other than these protected lands.
