This is a horrible idea. We do not need more land, we need better use of land already zoned for housing. There is already plenty of unused housing-zoned land available, and plenty of poorly used sprawl to redevelop. Even your own report says so:

Mid-level development across the entire GTA would allow multiples of how many people currently live here. By mid-level, I mean a mix of reasonably-sized single-family-homes on walkable side streets, along with mid-rise buildings along the main streets, with more frequent main streets, with commercial all along at ground level, served heavily by transit. Not everybody needs to live in a tall condo or even low-rise walk-up. Picture parts of central Toronto, like between Bloor to Queen on the north-south, and Spadina to Roncesvalles on the east-west. Tear down the sprawl and build that everywhere.
Finally, given who owns the proposed removal land, and when a lot of it was purchased by them, this is a really bad look for this government. Going through with this plan would definitely prevent me from voting for the current Conservative party while these members remain in it.
