The 'build more homes fast' statements by the Ford team smacks of an easily detected lie when one learns that developers had already pre-purchased sections of the so-called Greenbelt. Besides, who are these new homes for...... the housing problem is basically meant to help those who cannot afford a home in the GTA area, therefore how can these people afford new home (expensive) in the Greenbelt distant from the core job market in Toronto proper? Sounds like another more than a Doug Ford fable of appeasing his developer pals for political gain..... except this will backfire big time at election time.
