Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in opposition to this legislation. It's an egregious abuse of trust against the people of Ontario. Furthermore, the proposed bill is a myopic view to support developers. More than enough areas in the current urban boundaries are affected to support the building of mixed-use homes for an increasing population.

The proposed encroachment into the greenbelt only serves to build single-family homes with no previous infrastructure. This means increasing carbon usage for driving time and the built environment, stripping out biodiversity by displacing various species, and eliminating prime farmland.

The proposed legislation only benefits developers and harms the environment and the people of Ontario and should be scrapped.
