Confused as to why this is needed. The PP&CRA Regulations already confirm that cottage leases at Rondeau are approved through 2038. Regardless, I support the approval of this ERO.
The previous ERO 019-0907 was approved for short term lease extension of 3 years in order to develop an alternative option for long term occupancy of cottage lots in Rondeau. Thought that was to implement the direction from Minister Jeff Yurek in 2019 to sell Rondeau Cottage lots to Chatham-Kent. Why wasn’t that done ?
Cottage lots in Rondeau comprise only 0.56% of the total area of Rondeau. The Chatham-Kent proposal relative to purchase of cottage lots included the transfer of land to Ontario Parks with an area far greater than the area of cottage lots.
