I very strongly oppose the amendment. The existing Greenbelt is a minimum and should only been increased. There are many other ways to address the housing crisis rather than quickly building the type of housing that are degrading the Ontario landscape just for the profit of developers rather than for the benefit of people and of communities. Looking at how the problem is and has been addressed elsewhere would be a start rather than rushing in non sustainable solutions. Taxing or repossessing of empty property also needs to be considered. Stopping the sale of apartments and houses for the prpoae of speculation etc. Decimating very productive farmland and reducing recreational ground is a total nonsense
