The Province should consider correcting "mistakes" in the current Greenbelt mapping.
Beechway Development Inc. owns a property located between Bathurst Street and Yonge Street, north of Green Lane, in the Town of East Gwillimbury (PART LOT 102 CONCESSION 1 WEST OF YONGE STREET). The majority of the property has been farmed continuously for decades, with the exception of a portion along Bathurst which contains a woodlot.
The western approximately one third of the property falls within the Greenbelt. While the inclusion of the woodlot within the Greenbelt designation make sense, the inclusion of the adjacent lands does not.
This portion, as with the balance of the property is free from any trees, bushes and/or natural features and accordingly should be removed from the greenbelt - see attached plan for additional details.
