I am a concerned citizen…

I am a concerned citizen residing in Chatham Kent. I have been frequenting Rondeau Provincial park and camping there for my entire 68 years of my life and my parents before me. From what i have read, Rondeau was created to include cottages. They take up approximately one half of a percent of the park area and are located mainly along the Eastern shoreline. From what i have seen until now they have not affected in any way the natural flora or fauna of the park and wildlife populations are not affected in fact some flourish and have to be culled on a regular basis to protect vegetation. In 2019 decision 019-0907 from the government allowed an alternative solution for long term occupation going forward until 2038 but this is being ignored by this new proposal allowing only a two year resolution due this upcoming year. This is totally unfair to the cottagers and undermines the trust of the Ministry and our government. The cottagers pay taxes, attract visitors and pay yearly park entrance fees like everyone else. The park derives a huge amount of income from these individuals. I trust you will do the honorable thing and disallow this notice 019-6142
