In September of 2022, prominent developer Michael Rice paid $80M for land that's been protected for almost two decades. Weeks later,
Doug Ford announced proposed changes to the Greenbelt. With that, Rice's land was suddenly set to open up for housing.
Not only is this openly a conflict of interest, it could actually land within the realm of criminal activity.
If the Ontario PCs continue with this strategy, my colleagues and I, with the support of Ontarians will openly pursue legal action against Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs.
