Thank you for having an open discussion regarding this proposal.

The greenbelt is an irreplaceable, vitally important and picturesque landscape that should remain protected from short sighted poorly designed profit now pay later development.

The greenbelt is an oasis in and amongst the ever growing urban sprawl, a key watershed and habitat to hundreds of ostracized species.

Many countries lack the space and the freedom we so enjoy in Canada, and the greenbelt sits right next to many immigrants first home.

While immigration remains an important aspect of our country's future, to pave paradise and put up a parking lot when there are countless other communities in this country that need young skilled workers to revitalize them is so short sighted.

The greenbelt protects and provides a home for many iconic canadian species, with humans always encroaching on their habitats many of these animals adapt and become nuisance animals, causing damage and harm to humanity who destroyed their habitat. Leave the animals be and they'll keep to themselves in turn.

In addition to protecting natural wildlife the greenbelt is an important source of fresh water and filtration. With so many roughshod developments occuring, and the inherent corruption involved in inspections and building permits, many communities are outgrowing their watershed. Theres been a constant boil water order in tottenham-beeton, and its going to remain for years until a pipeline from lake huron is built. Many rivers pass through the greenbelt into Toronto, if the biggest city loses that water filtration to increase its carbon footprint the results will not only unpredictable they'll be catastrophic.

I implore decision makers to think about this decision. Once the greenbelt is gone there will be no return. Please protect this beautiful, vibrant healthy ecosystem from demolition and exploitation. Stop making knee jerk short term decisions and invest in a healthy ontario. Keep the greenbelt green.
