Attention Mr. Gryck,
I am a cottage owner at Rondeau Provincial Park. We proudly take care of our cottage and all the natural environment that surrounds it. We are the second owners of this cottage that was built in 1935. We maintain the structure as best we can, but, with the uncertainty of occupancy in the park it is difficult to continue to plan and budget for the upkeep of our cottage. We like to utilize the services of the Chatham- Kent community. It provides jobs and profits for many local retail stores.
Both our children and all of their friends learned the importance of living within the park's natural surroundings-respecting water, wildlife and plants. These lessons expanded into further educational pursuits. The MNRF own studies repeatedly prove our community benefits the park's ecology.
The cottage is a place where our extended family and friends meet to create memories of happiness, healing and restore balance in busy lives.
We are only 0.56% of the Rondeau area. Therefore a solution must be found for the permanent occupancy of the cottage lots, and a sale under Section9(3) of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act (2006) as directed by Minister Jeff Yurek .
