I have personally visited Rondeau Park, both as a camper and again as a visitor to a relative with a cottage. I strongly support the continued existence of cottagers in the park. I had family members that once leased a cottage but were made feel unwelcome by the park years ago when these lease renewals came up. I can tell you that my experience as a cottager was far superior to as a camper, not because of the dwelling i was staying in, but the difference between the way the cottagers and the campers used and treated the Park. I'm not saying that campers shouldn't be allowed to lease by the day, but that it was clear that the cottagers were way more interested in keeping their areas clean than the campers were.

I love riding my bike alongside the cottages, talking to the owners about them and about what they know about the park. They have always been respectful and helpful to me as a day user.
