I fully support the extension of the Rondeau cottage leases.

The Rondeau cottages are the foundation of a beloved and active community. For my family, and many others, they hold significant meaning. Rondeau is a link between my parents' generation, myself, and my children. Where my parents danced as teenagers is now my children's favourite place to spend time with their Papa. Beyond our family, we have become invested in the community and its friendships, particularly the Rondeau Yacht Club.

Simply put, losing the cottages at Rondeau would be a heartbreaking loss to our family. (Camping is not an option for my elderly father and some others in our family.)

To the wider area, the stable population of the cottages provide economic benefit. While I support this proposal, I would recommend a long term lease option to follow. This would help assure local businesses of their own long-term survival, and facilitate continued investment.
