Building so called affordable housing in the Greenbelt is a very bad idea. This land is important for the environment, recreation and farming in Ontario. While affordable housing is important the proposed amendments will only be beneficial to high income earners and land developers. Many experts agree that affordable housing needs to be built in urban not rural areas.

This proposal needs to be reconsidered. It would set a dangerous precedent about the development of the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is important to our health. the environment and our economy.
