This plan is an ecological disaster that will do nothing to ameliorate the housing crisis. We need changes to density and an end to single family housing zoning. By paving the greenbelt we open residents to flooding and we are going to cripple our food production during a period of climate change.
Don't pave the greenbelt. Build up, not out.
