I am against this proposal

Expanding into land, regardless of designation us not the solution to housing. Ontario’s sprawl single dwelling unit requirement is a massive factor in the shortage which leads to sprawling cities with under utilized housing potential adjacent to primary transport hubs. The densification of existing urban areas should be undertaken prior to expanding into new land including the green belt. Just like bulding more Road won’t solve the transportation issue taking the short term easy option of taking more land will not address the housing issue.

For this primary reason I am against this proposal.
