These proposed changes are an indiscriminate violation of trust that the public has with provincial powers. This change goes directly against the promises made in this governments campaign when elected, and reiterated in 2018. This does NOT address the situation Canadians are in, and will simply make more expensive housing that we cannot afford. Not only this, but opens the flood gates for Ford's development buddies to plow through the Green belt. The only ecological integrity that this province has left has just been broken, and the solution just pushed further back in time so this government doesn't have to deal with it.

I call on the government to redirect this decision and make more affordable housing in the actual areas people want to live, the urban centers of Toronto, Mississauga and Hamilton.
