As someone who is hoping to buy my first home in the coming years, I can understand the appeal of this proposal. However, I would be greatly saddened to learn that my ability to buy a house would come at the cost of our environment. I do not find it acceptable to develop sensitive ecosystems in the Greenbelt just to increase house numbers in the area when there are so many vacant homes in the Greater Toronto Area.
