The Green Belt is a legacy…

The Green Belt is a legacy for future generations who will pay dearly for the environmental degradation and destruction that people living now and in the past have inflicted on them. The very least we can do is continue to protect this precious green space. Once we turn it into suburbs and pave it over, it will be lost forever.

I am calling on the Government of Ontario to make a wise decision that will be a treasured part of their legacy. Preserve the Green Belt. Focus on building homes in places where the environment has already been degraded. Save these agricultural, wetland and forested areas for the sake of the planet, the many threatened and remarkable species who depend on these habitats and the people who will follow us.

Please do the right thing.
