I am so sad that the government is using the housing crisis as a way to increase profits for developers. The greenbelt land will be cheaper for developers to build up as opposed to remediating land within urban limits. And the people who can purchase homes on the greenbelt are not the poor....they are the middle class and wealthy that can drive to work without public transit or work from home.

The people that need help with housing are in the cities, near transit. This greenbelt development plan is just good for the developers and the politicians who support them.
