Doug Ford claims we need the land for housing. The Government's own Housing Affordability Task Force said:“A shortage of land isn’t the cause of the problem,” and “Land is available, both inside the existing built-up areas and on undeveloped land outside greenbelts.” A bigger problem, the report said, is that Ontario hasn’t used the land efficiently.

The only reason for this is profiteering at the cost of our environmental well-being.

This plan is strictly to benefit developers like Michael Rice, who bought protected land 2 weeks before it was suddenly about to become available.

I'm sure those involved in government working on this will also get a variety of kickbacks from said developers.
